All Artists must be approved & invited to particapte.
We have an extensive list of amazing tattoo artists who attend our shows annually. Any shops that particpated in previous events are invited to apply now. Please see the application below.

PLEASE NOTE: 
- No Tattoo Kit Suppliers permitted
- No Tattoo Studios offering classes  
- No Apprenctices or Jr. Artists permitted to tattoo at the Show.  Experienced Artists only (2years experience and up) - thank you!
- Only REGISTERED artists (listed on the application) can tattoo at the event. 

Payment must accompany the application in order to be considered.

  • Progressive Mentorship
  • Cleanboydart.com

We do not accept: 

  • Apprenctices or Jr. Artists to tattoo at the Show
    ARTISTS MUST HAVE 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE MINIMUM
  • Tattoo Kit Suppliers
  • Tattoo Studios offering classes
  • Tattoo booths to sell retail products, unless it is Shop merchandise

NEW

Due to several incidents at past shows, we are now implementing a rule that each artist will need a bloodborne pathogens certificate.  The safety of clients and show staff are of utmost importance and with recent incidents such as used needles in garbage cans, improper set-ups and cross contamination issues, we will now require each artist to present a certificate to be considered and to register. 
Going forward the application process will require and note information from each artist for an accepted Bloodborne Pathogens course, and only artists with acceptable certificates will be permitted. 

Acceptable certificates include:
Certificates must be within 2 years of the show date and be from a tattoo specific course.
(Workplace bloodborne will not be suffice)

We are working to continue raise the bar at the Calgary & Edmonton Tattoo & Arts Festivals providing quality standards and delivering an outstanding secure experience for everyone.    

 

Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive a confirmation within 48hrs of your submission.

After acceptance, all Show information will be sent via email.

In order to tattoo on-site, every artist in attendance must complete the Artist Waiver & Safety Agreement. 
The Agreement will be forwarded with your confirmation, and also with your Show information. 

Social media listings from participating artists will be posted on the Alberta Tattoo & Arts Festival pages once the Agreement has been submitted. This Agreement is in addition to the onsite AHS approval each booth is required to have. 

All Show information is additionally posted on the website. 

Artists will be listed on the website in order of registration. 
Please make sure any submitted images are of the artists work, not a headshot. 
Also ensure all images are clear and orientated correctly (ie: not sideways), as we do not have time to edit images. 

If you do not send a picture we can not guarantee inclusion on the website.

All International Artists must pay an Immigration Fee (on application) to be registered for work in Canada at the Show. This fee is $230 per artist.

We will assist with this process upon registration.

Website Posts: 

  • Pictures of each artists work will be posted alphabetically, by first name.
  • Images provided with the application will be used.
  • Images will be posted as shops register.
  • Please make sure any submitted images are of the artists work, not a headshot.

Social Media Posts: 

  • Artists must sign the Artist Waiver & Safety Agreement in order to be posted on the Tattoo & Arts Festival social accounts. 
  • Artists who sign the waiver within 2 weeks of the Show may not be posted due to time constraints. 
  • Images posted on instagram, facebookor tiktok are selected from submissions from the Artist Waiver & Safety Agreement. If an image is not provided, or an image does not meet our standards, it will not be posted.
